How about the two women working the voting station in our German Village precinct?
Combined age? Had to be about 160 years.
The lady in front of me was asked ... "Democrat?" This was by the pool worker.
The woman giggled and said "yes." The poll worker said, "I could just sense the goodness in you."
Um. Isn't that like illegal?
The poll worker then admitted, "I can't be asking people that. I have to ask Democrat or Re-pub-lick-n."
You'll notice I didn't diliniete between the two workers. Didn't matter.
Got my vote on for Mike Huckabee. Also voted in the 26,784 uncontested races. Awesome! Totally worth going out in the rain for. Remember ... no election that has ever mattered has come down to one vote!

A couple of years ago my fiend Mao and I were out knocking on doors for a guy who was running for the County Central Committee. It was important (to Mao) that we win that race, because he was running for County GOP Chairman, and we had to deliver as many Little Red Books as we possibly could.
The Central Committee, you see, would elect the next Chairman of the People's Republic, and we were running this dude against an old crusty troll who wasn't for Mao. We needed to beat her. We walked on a cold afternoon for a few hours and I grew weary. At one point I implored Mao to leave with me to go get food, promising that I'd buy lunch if he'd let me get out of the Upper Trendington neighborhood we were in.
Though we weren't done delivering books, he eventually acceded, warning me that "we better not lost his race by one vote!"
Sure enough, the guy we were for (who I see at the CaveBear like every fucking day!) lost by one vote, and the troll returned to the committee to vote against Mao, a fact that he will let me forget when Hell freezes over, or JewHair lets me borrow his velvet Guccis again.
The story has a happy ending though as Mao was eventually elected Chairman of the Republic and we later dissolved the committee and had all the members, including the Troll, put to death.
