Above: GVM in 2010
In 2007, GVM averaged a whopping 6 posts per day. In 2008 and 2009, that number dropped off to a still impressive two posts per day. Through the first 13 days of 2010, the blog has averaged fewer than a post per two days. Has McGinley withdrawn from all cyber communication on the heels of his retreat from Facetown? Have AMG and The Chancellor run out of thoughts to share with the blogosphere? Can a correlation be drawn between The Chancellor's name change and the fate of the blog? Or was blogging just an aughts kind of thing that can't hack it in the teens? These questions and more probably won't be addressed in the comments, because no one comments anymore.

With Twitter, Facebook, work, etc. it's difficult to post anymore. When the time strikes me, I am sure I could post something but it's not "appointment viewing" anymore. No one posts. I just hope we don't make like Johnny Unitas, Carson Palmer or Willie Mays and stick around way past our prime. We always can Barry Sanders it.

I have been incredibly busy and blogging has just taken a backseat to everything else. Between Gibbs, Kasich, Yost, Mandel, Mingo, and Carle, I just have no time anymore. I'm sorry.
If we have to kill it off, that would be sad, but not the worst thing ever.
Kill it off and then start fresh in the near future with something better. Keep the "GVM" franchise going ... just kill off this site. No shame.

Yeah, a post about Keenan Thompson is pretty much the bottom of the barrel. No offense. None taken.
2010 will forever be known in GVM circles as "The Keenan Thompson Days."

In a PBS reading a Civil War letter voice: "I rember back in 20 aught 10, the Keenan Thompson days as historians would come to know it, when a once great blog succumbed to the pressures of its three major contributors finding themselves busy during their days with actual work. It was a tough row to hoe for the devoted readers." -The Chancellor to AMG, Janurary 2010
