Before I even start to talk about it, let me say I know that nobody regularly watches Saturday Night Live anymore. Much like the last few seasons of ER, I recognize that I am the only person who DVR's anything on NBC other than the Thursday night comedies.* That said, I think Keenan Thompson deserves a bit of praise for being the sole player in this season's run to make me laugh on a consistent basis.

*And does anyone even watch those? CBS has like 17 of the top 20 shows week in and week out. I don't watch any of them.

Kristen Wiig is funny. Andy Samberg's Digital Shorts are funny 60% of the time. But Keenan's sketches, namely "What's Up With That?" and "Scared Straight" are the best thing on the show at this point. Seth Myers does a decent John Stewart impression on the Weekend Update desk, but it's not as consistently funny as it was when he was teamed up with Amy Pohler.
